Working together to answer the big question of “What’s it like to be you?”

Counseling can be a difficult journey to begin and finding the right counselor provides its own unique challenges, so let me start by introducing myself.

I strive to help people become the best version of themselves through creating a safe and caring environment in the counseling room.

One of my favorite parts of my job is that I get to be an advocate for the people I sit with. As your counselor, I want you to know and experience that I am in your corner through every step of your journey.

Your story and struggles are unique to you and you deserve to have a space where you can receive the care that you deserve.

People are dynamic and complex beings and a “one size fits all” approach does not do the human experience justice. Life happens in the counseling room as we move to unpack your past, process your current situation, and dream about what is to come.

These three phases of past, present, and future all hold answers to how we can move together to provide both healing and growth.

Mental health care is whole person experience. We will certainly deal with emotions and feelings but it does not stop there. Your story impacts your body, your mind, and your soul, so in the counseling room we will work towards healing and growth in all areas.

We are always growing and changing and counseling is a way to take ownership over that process.

As a counselor, I value authenticity, safety, and kindness.

One of the hardest parts of my journey has been being honest with myself. Once I learned how to be authentic and name where I was hurting, it changed the game.

This process is not an easy one, which is why safety matters. In order to truly be authentic, you must be in a space where rejection is not on the table. Counseling works when you show up as you.

We are all going through something and though it can be easy to have empathy for others, we often forget to be kind to ourselves. This does not mean we half to agree with everything that is happening it our stories. It means that you and everything your bring into the room is welcome here.
